"I work on the catalog
that comic shops order from..."

That has been my usual reply when asked what I do for a living.

Over the last 20 years, I have worked on the print side in the comics industry.

Starting with a weekly printed newsletter, I moved on to working on the monthly industry magazine and catalog.

I was promoted to Design Supervisor and now to Production Manager for the entire 400 to 600 page tome.

I design product solicitation pages, editorial sections, work on all of the ads and create the retailer order form.

I create the covers from art sent in from outside vendors.
